Join us for our traditional Ash Wednesday service, set for mid - day so more of our friends can attend.
People of all religious backgrounds are welcome to attend.
Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent, a 40 day season that culminates with Palm / Passion Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week. Lent is a time of introspection, spiritual renewal, self discipline and personal sacrifice. On Ash Wednesday we are reminded of our mortality and are encouraged to make plans accordingly.
Ashes from last year's burned Palm Sunday palm branches are used to make the sign of the cross on the forehead of everyone in attendance. This is a visible sign of faith to all who we meet for the rest of the day.
Come early with a soup or bread lunch to share and enjoy the fellowship.
